Bright accents in the interior of the apartment in the Netherlands
We bring to your attention a small tour of the interior of the Dutch apartments, decorated in a European style using an original, colorful decor. In the spirit of Scandinavian traditions, almost all the rooms of the house are decorated in bright colors, a neutral palette is used in the furniture, but decor elements, textiles, carpets and interior accessories bring brightness and personality to the atmosphere. Let us consider in more detail the decor of the Dutch apartment.
We begin our tour of the tradition with the main and central room of the apartment - the living room. This spacious room with high ceilings has become a haven not only for the guest, but also for the dining area. First, consider the relaxation segment - a comfortable sofa with practical dark gray upholstery has become the center of the soft zone, sitting on a warm rug with a long pile. In modern interiors, you can increasingly find a constructive imitation of a fireplace. Such an interior item does not carry out the function of heating the room, but, of course, decorates it, raises the status and level of attractiveness. In a niche of an improvised fireplace, usually composed of candles (sometimes in candlesticks of various modifications). The mantelpiece serves as a stand for decor and various cute little things. Above the fireplace is a mirror in a beautiful frame or an original painting. On either side of the fireplace or above the mantelpiece are wall lights, or sconces. As a result, even an inactive fireplace becomes the focus of attention.
I would like to pay special attention to the coffee table of the original design. This piece of furniture is more like a pallet drawn from various pieces of wood painted in bright colors. A low table not only perfectly fulfills the functionality of the stand, but also diversifies the color palette of the living room, introduces an element of uniqueness, because such a piece of furniture can be made with your own hands, personalizing the space.
Opposite the sofa, in the space between the windows, a TV zone was placed, surrounded by extensive decor. Here is a photo in dark frames, and a large living plant in a tub made in the form of a wicker basket, and a bouquet in a vase on a low stand.
Often a modern interior harmoniously accepts antique pieces of furniture or antique decor elements. And in this living room, the white shade of the walls became an excellent backdrop for a pair of antique suitcases that can be used as storage systems and decor elements for a fairly restrained interior.
Here, in the living room, there is a dining area with an original dining group. The roomy wooden table painted in black gathered around itself the snow-white chairs of a famous designer with snow-white seats and light-colored wooden legs. But the undisputed leader of this group was a narrow sofa in a bright emerald color with decor.
The room is large enough, so ceiling chandeliers alone are not enough to illuminate two zones with different functionality. Wall sconces are designed to provide a sufficient level of illumination throughout the room, and to create a more intimate, romantic atmosphere, you can use candles placed in different segments of the room.
The design find was a perfectly matched color scheme for the sofa and carpet ornament. Bright, but at the same time pleasant to the eye, the color of saturated malachite became accent for the dining area.
On the snow-white stairs, past a decorative composition made up of small photos in frames, mirrors and clocks, we go up to the second floor, where we are waiting for an examination of personal rooms and utility rooms.
In the first bedroom with a snow-white finish, attention is attracted not even by the central piece of furniture - a large bed with a soft headboard, but by a composition made up of antique bedside tables, floor lamps with original decor and mirrors of an unusual shape.
Another bedroom is located in a room with sloping ceilings and complex geometry of the room. White trim in this case is an ideal design for all surfaces and a great backdrop for a black wrought iron bed. It was possible to dilute the snow-white idyll of the attic with the help of a bright picture and colored textile for the bed.
The attic room is not rich in spaces for placing full-fledged storage systems, so you need to cut out any opportunity for the installation of built-in cabinets or chests of drawers. An improvised dressing table, located on a low storage system, is perfectly lit thanks to being under the roof window.
Near the bedroom there is a bathroom, lined with glossy "metro" light blue tiles. A little warmth in the cool finish of the room for water treatments brought the decoration of the space under the bathroom with the help of slatted wooden panels.
A small, but at the same time sufficient room, fit all the necessary plumbing and attributes to it. Against the background of light shades of blue ceramic tiles, the white of the plumbing looks especially dazzling.
Even in the utility room there was a place for additional decor, for installing green plants in a vase, for example.
